Tempranillo
The grapes for our 2011 Buried Hope Tempranillo were selected from the most premium lots of Tempranillo vineyards in Ribera del Duero. The wine from each lot was aged separately, maturing for twelve months in half French, half American oak barrels before being carefully blended. Our philosophy is to compliment the Tempranillo fruit with fresh oak characters and enrich and soften the wine through barrel maturation.
Tasting Notes
Intense cherry red in colour, rimmed with violet, our Buried Hope 2011 Tempranillo offers a perfect harmony of fruit characters and freshness.
On the nose: aromas of ripe red fruit and raspberry marry with toasted, spicy notes from the oak.
The palate is bursting with fruit and a hint of aromatic herbs. Smooth tannins provide balance and a lingering finish.
