Founded in 2013, Buried Hope is a collection of signature style red wines, committed to sourcing premium Cabernet Sauvignon from the North Coast of California, and Tempranillo from Ribera Del Duero in Spain.

With Buried Hope, we are telling a story of promise: Great wines come from stressed vines. If vines are stressed, they react by producing fewer, but more complex and flavourful grapes. Our winemakers are dedicated to finding the most challenging soil environments, which stress the vines just enough to achieve the highest quality in each grape, leading to wines that truly reflect the personality of their origins.

This is why we travel to the North Coast of California and Ribera del Duero in Spain to select the best grapes for our Cabernet Sauvignon and our Tempranillo. Uncover the richness within – with Buried Hope Wines.

NORTH COAST, CALIFORNIA

The North Coast of California includes the prestigious Cabernet Sauvignon regions of Napa and Sonoma Counties, as well as the new but highly regarded Lake County. The proximity to the Pacific Ocean leads to a wide diurnal temperature variation that offers cool climate conditions, with low night temperatures, early morning fogs and warm day temperatures.

BURIED HOPE CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Buried Hope's 2012 North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon has been aged for 2 years in American oak barrels, offering rich plum and ripe raspberry flavours with well integrated finely structured tannins.

RIBERA DEL DUERO, SPAIN

Located at around 800 meters altitude, far from the sea, Ribera del Duero’s climate is continental, with hot, dry summers, low rainfall and cold winters. These arid conditions are ideal for the optimum expression of Tempranillo grapes.

BURIED HOPE TEMPRANILLO

Buried Hope's 2011 Ribera Del Duero Tempranillo has matured separately for 12 months in half American, half French oak barrels before being carefully blended to create a truly fantastic wine.
